Simon Conway Morris, Professor of Evolutionary Palaeobiology at the Cambridge University, gives a radical reinterpretation of life's history. In his opinion, evolution is far more predictable than generally thought, whether we are talking about molecules or societies. And he argues that human-like intelligence is very probable, perhaps inevitable.
